Absolutely Thrilled with my NEW Traeger Ironwood XL from Texas Star Grill Shop!
I got my first Traeger from these guys in 2020 (Timberline 850) and decided it might be time to upgrade. I couldn't be happier with my recent purchase of the Traeger Ironwood XL from Texas Star Grill Shop! Now, the grill itself? An absolute game-changer. The Ironwood XL has exceeded every expectation. I love that the grill has two sides, with two hoppers. At 4’11.5” the smaller side is super easy to use - I can cook for one or two and I am able to lift and reach the lid.
I love how easy it is to start, and adjust the temperature. When we host parties, the bigger side has tons of space.

Hands down this is the best grill we have ever had. LOVE IT.

I bought my green egg XL from Texas Star on Voss two years ago and I’ve always filled it with black bag or gold bag Fogo premium charcoal. It pops less when it’s starting, and has a mild flavor giving you great heat for grilling and allowing you to add your choice of other hardwoods for smoking. Both bags have consistent size pieces. I would recommend Texas Star Grill Shop for all your grilling needs and Fogo to power whatever you cook.

I’ll be honest—I’ve owned a few grills over the years, but nothing even comes close to this one. The Napoleon Prestige PRO 500 isn’t just a grill... it’s a beast. The sear burner gets so hot it made my ribeyes look like something out of a steakhouse, and that rear infrared burner? Perfect for rotisserie chicken. I actually had neighbors come over just because they could smell it.

What really surprised me was how solid and well-built this thing is. The lights on the knobs are a small touch, but super handy when you’re out grilling after sunset. Plus, my wife loves that everything closes softly and looks nice on the patio.
